Who we are, in plain words.

Since 2019, we’ve helped organizations unlock the value of their data, translating that foundation into practical AI solutions that drive measurable business impact.

Most of the work starts the same way. Someone on your team has a hunch about what's possible. Maybe it's a process eating hours every week. Maybe it's insights buried across five different systems. Maybe it's something nobody's tried yet. The next question is usually the hardest one: where do we start?

That's where we come in. We're a small, senior team that's been through the parts of this work that don't make it into the keynote. We help you cut through the AI noise, build a roadmap you actually believe in, ship inside the tools your team already trusts (Microsoft, Azure, Databricks), and stay until people are using it without thinking about it.

Our work for organizations like Breeze Autocare, Salad and Go, Wacom, Cox, Pattern, and Design Miami has spanned everything from data unification to predictive workflows to AI agents in production. The common thread: we don't disappear after kickoff.

Our team

Senior talent, everywhere it lives.

We're a fully remote team across seven cities and six countries. Practically, that means there's almost always someone awake when you need a problem solved, and the work moves across time zones without dropping the thread.

Leadership

The two people you'll meet first.

You'll work with senior people who've shipped at scale. Here's a bit on the two leading the work, what they've built, where they've been, and the kinds of problems they like solving.

Christopher Chileshe — CEO, CTO & Founder of The Zig Group

Christopher Chileshe

CEO · CTO · Founder

Christopher Chileshe is the CEO and Founder of The Zig Group, where he leads the firm’s mission to help organizations architect and operationalize data strategies for the age of AI. He brings over a decade of experience delivering enterprise-grade technology solutions, with a focus on translating complex systems into measurable business outcomes.

Christopher began his career as an Analyst at Goldman Sachs, gaining exposure to the rigor, performance standards, and operational discipline required in global financial institutions. He later worked as a Software Engineer at Microsoft, where he contributed to building highly scalable, distributed systems. This combination of deep technical expertise and commercial experience uniquely positions him to guide organizations through high-stakes digital transformation.

At The Zig, Christopher has pioneered a “ZeroToAI™” approach, helping companies move from fragmented data environments to fully deployed, production-ready AI solutions within accelerated timeframes. His work centers on unifying data foundations, implementing modern platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, and deploying enterprise-grade AI agents that drive efficiency, reduce operational risk, and unlock new revenue opportunities. He is particularly focused on addressing systemic challenges that limit scale, including key-man dependencies, data silos, and the growing complexity of legacy workflows. His perspective is grounded in a belief that AI should not exist as isolated innovation, but as an embedded, accountable capability within the core of the business. Christopher is known for combining strategic clarity with executional depth challenging conventional approaches while delivering practical, secure, and scalable solutions that enable organizations to compete in an increasingly AI driven economy.

Luis Cruz

President · CRO

Luis Cruz is The Zig's President and Chief Revenue Officer. He keeps the business honest and the work shipping on time, which sounds simple until you try to do both at once for a 30-person team spread across six countries.

His path to operations took the long way through capital markets. He started in Equity Research at Goldman Sachs covering B2B technology companies, basically getting paid to figure out which tech businesses actually held up under scrutiny. From there he went operator-side at West Partners, a single-family office, where he helped portfolio companies sharpen strategy and execute exits worth more than $450M.

At FactSet, he led an institutional sales book worth over $12M, working inside the firm that powers most of the world's biggest financial institutions. The thread through all of it: making sure every dollar of investment, technology or otherwise, maps to a real business outcome. He's also a CFA charterholder, which mostly means he refuses to let a slide deck get away with a number that doesn't actually mean anything.
